These parts are not compatible my ass. I’m riding a regular sized V-Brake with Short-Pull STIs on the front, it works, it’s a cable that pulls things, you just have to fine tune it more. Oh the rear dropout on this steel frame is 130mm and my wheel is 135mm? Guess what, steel bends, this fits now. The screw from my front side pull caliper brake is too short? Guess what, I put a new one in there and it took me like 15 minutes at most. My axle is too short to affix a front rack? It’s a threaded metal rod, fuck you, I purchased a threaded metal rod and now I could affix 8 of the fuckers stacked if I wanted to.

I piss on your compatibility lists, it’s a system of screws, pulleys and parallelograms, I can get this shit to work

You are much more confident than I in experimenting, I am envious. Nothing is fucking compatible with my Surly. Though, but I sure as hell made it fit on my Surly. The read rack I got JUST touches my brake caliper when it’s at rest. A millimeter more and I’d be fucked lol

Lot of blood, sweat, tears and also cheap bicycles to get there, honestly. Allthough: doesn’t Surly pride themselves about how rugged their bikes are and how basically everything fits?

Yes they do, I have a Straggler, I believe one of the first renditions which I believe is known for its awkward build, at least thats what I remember when searching this stuff up on the internets… I think they’ve changed some things on it to make it easier to attach stuff. Either that or I’m just really bad at bike mechanics lol
