Canada can start picking up new provinces. Start with Alaska, of course. Then Montana. Decade by decade, work all the way down to Louisiana. Then the expelled Acadians will finally be home — home will have come to them.

Skip NY and California. Too much trouble imo

Oh sweet… it’s US balkanization fanfiction time!

Alaska will just become a state in the Russian Federation. California will be the only power left in western North America with any real weight to throw around and they will look the other away when Russia repatriates Alaska in exchange for an agreement that the parts of California that used to be Russian are off the table. California will form a union with Washington State because the Seattle area has the other half of the critical military and manufacturing infrastructure. California has Air Force (March, Edward, Plant 42), Space Force (Vandenberg), and Marine Corp (Pendleton) along with a sizeable chunk of the Navy pacific fleet (San Diego, Bay Area), Washington has the US naval base where nuclear submarines for the Pacific are based (Puget Sound). Southern California and Washington State manufacturing are heavily dependent on each other. Western and Central Oregon will get dragged into the union because it is between California and Washington. California will also want to make sure it secures the Intel Corp campus in the Portland Oregon area because that is where Intel does all their silicon fabrication research and development. Eastern Oregon will not be part of this and will have become part of Christian Dominionist hellscape of Idaho. Although Boise Idaho will be independent from all this, a city-state owned by a Micron Technology Corporation and Battelle Memorial Institute joint venture.

In addition to this Canada will seize the opportunity to change the outcome of the war of 1812 and will claim all of the US northeast all the way down into upstate New York stopping just short of New York city. It will be a matter of Canadian national security to ensure that critical infrastructure like canals connecting the great lakes to the Atlantic and various north eastern US hydroelectric that Canadian industries rely on doesn’t fall into the hands of upstart warlords. Canada will also gain leading edge silicon semiconductor manufacturing capacity (Global Foundry and IBM facilities in Upstate New York and Intel facilities being built right now along the great lakes). Canada would be foolish to not seize on the collapse of the US as an opportunity to boost themselves from 3 oil companies and a logging company in a trench coat into a high tech manufacturing power house. The greater New York city area will become the city-state of New York. Washington DC and Maryland ceased to exist after the CIA nuclear false flag incident.

Michigan and Illinois will end up owned by a General Motors Corporation and Ford Motor Corporation joint venture. They will be “company states” under corporate ownership and governance.

Everything outside the 4 regions talked about will be Christian Dominionist territories ruled over by charismatic mega church pastor warlords and their patriot militias.

Do they have to be hostile? I’ve always wanted a unified independent New England
