Getting the procedure done this week. Ordered some underwear with ice packs and sleeve for comfort. Planning on laying on the couch watching DS9.

Any advice from those who have already crossed this Rubicon?

Follow whatever instructions they give you when it comes to waiting on exercise/sex. In the moment it’ll definitely feel fine, but you will be punished later. Speaking from experience lol.

Also icing before bed is good, also buying extra ice packs is probably a good idea (4 was a good number for me, but you can always just return them later so get a lot).

Also, if there isn’t anyone around to help after, try to set things up so that everything’s within reach of the couch when you get back. I had help, but they couldn’t be around for the entire recovery period, so yeah keep the essentials close by.

Oh and there’s probably going to be dried blood in your ejaculate the first few times so take whatever precautions you need to/don’t freak out.

As far as my experience, I wasn’t one of the fast recovery period guys. But even then it wasn’t too bad, I just moved around and did things carefully, tried not to push it (ex. going on long walks without very supportive underwear). I’d sometimes have discomfort after sex, but that was usually my fault if you know what I mean. It’s hard for me to place exactly when I felt totally normal, but I’d say within a month or two I stopped having to be careful about the way I did things. But that’s just me, and I did have an injury back in the day that may have been the reason why it took me a minute to feel totally normal.

Oh and if your uncircumcised try to clean off your jockstrap or whatever as frequently as you can, I got balanitis because I didn’t lol

Also I’d recommend getting the no scalpel procedure if you aren’t. Probably fine either way but I’ve read there’s a greater chance of complications/longer recovery if you get an incision
