    thonk-trans To be more charitable there are also lgbt people of older generations who may’ve had “queer” used as a slur against them, which is important to consider imo.

    But I generally tend to view “queer” as an umbrella for all legbutt stuff, so vivian-shrug

      For sure. When an older gay tells me they aren’t queer I’m not a dick about it, I’m happy to accept any label they want. I just think that normalizing a broader umbrella usage of queer is important long term.
