Another one that is still pervasive is the idea that Chinese steel is still inferior to American steel. Bud China makes so much of the world’s steel you would have to be dog shit stupid to believe we don’t have tons of bridges and buildings made out if it.
People are stuck in time. They still think china is making mini mill steel and cheap plastic trinkets. Sure that was the start, and yes they’re still doing that, but starting with that knowledge base with wealth and time they have learned A LOT. They also have a society that invests in and highly values education. All these things combined and they’re whipping our asses
