I think what set off the recent wave is when she threatened legal action against the person posting her private jet’s tracking information. She (or her legal team) was alleging that it enabled stalking, but the tracking data is public information so stalkers would already have had access to it.

No, this was started with FOX news bashing her jet usage, and the joke was that FOX would have to explain why CO2 was bad. Then the insane conspiracy theory that 20% of USArs now believe. Then she used legal action against someone tracking her jet (possibly because of death threads).
But the fox news propaganda worked! Now even liberals are focusing their hatred on her. I have to give it to fox news, very well done.
