I used to look around at my peers in high school and have the sudden realization that, oh shit, one day we’re going to have to run this society and be the parents and leaders and teachers and whatever. This realization struck fear into my heart.
Now that my generation is older and becoming parents and leaders and teachers and whatever, yeah I do not have any more trust in these people than I did in high school, tbh probably less.
Currently stuck in a walled bougistani compound in the arid, exotic deserts of so-cal and I can report the people running this planet are the most banal idiots you can imagine. It’s bad enough seeing all the destruction wrought, and then you see what they actually bought with their blood money and it’s just the most banal shit imaginable.
