You’ve misunderstood the criticism. I think Hexbear is perfectly accepting of they/them pronouns, because Hexbear thinks they are gendering pronouns that refer to “the nonbinary gender”. There isn’t one nonbinary gender, there’s millions, and many of them don’t use they/them, because their users prefer to be gendered.
