Cuphead was waiting for the physical edition.
Hades because my friends told me to and Hades 2 is around the corner -> it’s awesome

I was hyped for Baldur Gates 3 months before its release !
It’s really weird af when people shift the blame on players rather than corporations.
If the hype behind cyberpunk or starfield was not “rewarded” it’s first and foremost because publishers dropped the ball and made an underwhelming/broken game.
I was hyped for RDR2, BG3, Ace Combat 7, Armored Core 6, Breath of the wild,…and never disappointed, not even a little.
I like video game, if an announcement pleases me I will be hyped, I am hyped for Dragon Dogma 2 and hyped for a promised trailer for GTA 6, so what…if they are bad, where’s my fault ? Liking video games ?
I think there’s indie and indie-like which maybe would mean a game with a smaller budget focusing on creativity and gameplay ideas.
For me an independent game’s definition is quite straightforward, it doesn’t mean creative freedom, pixel art or cel shading, it means not backed by something like Nexon.
Now if they want to include more games than independent, they could rename it to “small team”, “indie style” etc but for 2023 it’s sadly too late to correct it
Avowed really is not hyping me. Feels generic and deja-vu.
The thing is Obsidian they sometimes release “good” stuff like
I think what shocks me is how faster and, sometimes better, their game releases are compared to a much more massive and older Bethesda.
I am not a big fan of Obsidian entertainment but frankly the sole fact that we are comparing Bethesda to obsidian rather than Naughty Dog, Guerilla, Larian…just says it all for me
Frankly given Forza 2023 and Starfield they should maybe focus more on quality and polishing first and foremost
