This is a good critical analysis, but I don’t think it’s entirely fair.

China are absolutely dominating on the world stage because they’ve played western countries at their own game, and are utterly beating them. It won’t really be in a practical position to be a serious anti- imperialist force until it exceeds western powers on its own feet, which it is some years away from yet.

China is doing far more to help third world countries than the odd euro-currency investment. But dominating the western currencies as well as your own gives you enormous global influence, whereas converting to solely yuan may keep them wealthy and independent, but have less stranglehold on the west.

Labour will win for the reason that the right wing vote is split. Hope they do more than continue the status quo

No. Cue death threats, but I don’t believe killing animals is fundamentally wrong. The industry is problematic, and could/should be significantly improved, but welcome to all industries under capitalism.

I actually incidentally grew up vegetarian, so I eat tons of beans, can cook the veg meals and don’t eat much meat now anyway. I’m just not convinced there’s good reason to change.

Commies are rarely the ones saying “exploit foreign workers harder!”, they’re the ones saying “give the rich fuckers’ wealth to workers while ending imperialism!”.

I’m also not as pessimistic as many others - even if the redistribution of wealth alone didn’t make up for not-imperialism, I think removing the inefficiencies of capitalism would significantly improve conditions for all workers, globally.

Almost certainly public holidays are included in the uk figure at least. Legal minimum for a full time UK worker is 28 days. Few companies offer more than the minimum.

So account for the part time workers, and average probably is around 27.

This isn’t about a “these people don’t deserve to have things” approach. This is a discussion about potentially harmful actions, that’s all.

Ideally mutual aid happens in person where you can easily know a person. On the Internet with anonymity, you need to have these kinds of conversations to be a sustainable project.

It would be a very overgeneralized statement with little meaning. What kind of businesses? How hard, comparatively? If so, so what? Is it relevant if they’re still exploiting others?

I tend to have ~10,000 tabs because I obsessively fail to clean up. But it never takes much memory or cpu, my PC isn’t amazing yet Firefox is always lightning quick.

I’ve never used the discard or merge windows features though, I can see why those might cause issues. I assume these two functions just aren’t optimised for so many tabs.

One addon I might recommend to help keep numbers down is Duplicate Tab Closer, which has options to specify how similar tabs can be to be considered duplicates, and also will detect across all open windows if desired.

Plenty countries marched for it en masse decades ago. Nothing changed. Marching achieves nothing anymore, not even riots (see: French pension law).

Violent political suppression is just too strong in Europe, the people have little say anymore, even with direct action.

I’m certainly not rehashing or arguing either way. But if it was ‘obviously that simple’, it wouldn’t have made for a silly struggle session.
