Uhhhhh what’s ALVR
Uhhhhh what’s ALVR
Why wouldn’t they? “Enough” is not in their vocabulary. Why not make even more money? What’re you gonna do, stop using Google Maps?
The form factor is why this thing is cool though
What’s cool about spending ridiculous amounts of money on needlessly small products?
I know a handful of tournament organizers who love how much better these things have gotten
Like Minesweeper tournaments?
Also, this is using about a tenth of the energy that your ATX build will likely use.
Because it’s doing a tenth as much work.
I kinda stopped paying attention to him when he said oculink 4i has 8 lanes of pcie, or something like that.
Yeah it’s very obvious that he speedruns these reviews. How can you expect him to properly test the hardware when he can’t even make sure the specs are accurate, or even give it just a quick spell-check?
You can buy an ATX form factor and get double the power for the same money. There’s no sense in using mobile processors in desktop PCs.
Those things are less-likely to be in outdoor areas than anywhere else.
Couldn’t disagree more, and I’m actually working on a “link dumping” Lemmy instance. Like an RSS reader but one that adds community votes and comments, and aggregates feeds for subscriptions.
Of course you’re welcome to not follow the instance or the “communities”.
Have you tried touching grass? 😃
But seriously, most outdoor activities are like the most private things you’ll do all day.
I don’t know why we’re sharing this. This is a bad purchase and a poor use-case. Also this guy just churns out these benchmark videos for Mini PCs like they’re going out of style.
Taking a loan does not make a purchase easier, you pay even more anyway
Yes, as I said, they’re stupid.
So point still stands, a $450 phone IS an egregious lot
No, it doesn’t. And no, it’s not. $450 gets you a SIGNIFICANTLY better device than $200. Probably 95% of available phones are well over $200. Just because you personally can’t afford it does not make it “egregious”.
They’re not rich, they’re just stupid. They pay $25/mo or whatever for 80 years. It’s not wealth, it’s just shitty culture.
You said you could access the cloud with zero computers.
Well. At least you can say it’s different. I don’t know that I’d want a phone with virtually no water resistance.
The display is still gargantuan.
I guess it seems like a good deal for the price, if you’re in the $200 market. I don’t know that there’s anything better.
I think when it comes to this sort of modularity, Motorola had the right idea with their pogo pin magnetic attachments.
I mean, that’s fine, but that absolutely does not make a $450 phone “completely unaffordable”…
Most people around me carry $1k+ iPhones.
My guy, I’m not the one making non-sense statements and then refusing to answer questions about them. You’re the troll.
There are, just not available publicly.
I meant publicly available
I don’t have a point. Just asked a question.
Yes I understand how The Cloud works…?
My main issue with Pixels is their price, even the Pixel A
Have you priced out any comparable phones? They’re practically a steal at their discounted prices.
The question was:
The questions was not:
We are all aware there is no such thing as complete privacy unless you move into an Amish society. The only thing you can do is your best.
