I had no idea that was even a thing.
I had no idea! I was at an indigenous event a little while ago and saw one of the vendors selling pinned insects and stuff. She had a bat and I was kinda interested.
We found a dead bat on holiday once. We went to a museum figuring they could use it and got free entry in exchange.
Don’t buy taxidermy period. It’s weird
I worked in a taxidermy museum. I’ve cleaned 1 too many carpet beetles up thx.
I kind of agree, but it’s the sort of thing that well meaning people gift me. So I’ve got some. To be honest, I’ve become attached to some of them.
And I once had a landlord try to impress me with his collection of taxidermied fish. He made them himself! Not how I would have tried to impress a college student if I were in his place, but OK.
I had no want for a taxidermy bat before this post but I do now
Make sure it’s a legit antique at least. 😅 And get some bug traps.
People buy taxidermy bats? Why?
No problem,
