hi, i was with friends (not mine, friends of a friend) playing dnd and it was uncomfortable with the n*zi references.
i get it’s typical
stuff, but knowing the people are largely of german heritage and transphobic/misogynistic then having their in-game team called the ‘SS’ is whack.
it really was not funny and i had no clue how to even express my distaste. i stopped playing with them, they kept making n*zi references it was disturbing.
i’d wanna express my thoughts some of the time but yeah i sorta felt ashamed for some reason :/

I’ve been into tabletop wargames for over 20 years, including literal WWII games with people playing actual nazis, and even they understood nazis were evil and not something you want to imitate.
When you larp as nazis, especially in a game not centered around WWII, suggests serious Anglo brainworms.
Or they’re just plain neo nazis

Entirely possible these other players were some of the 40k players that are object lessons as to why normies don’t typically fuck with 40k long.
