Lmao this information hurts. it was a synanon cult.
The trueanon series on that shot was wild. Brace was in the same cult.
That fucking explains a lot tbh
Yeah shit like this is why I don’t like AA and while being sober, I don’t attend meetings. Shit’s weird.
My junior high and regular high school was a synanon offshoot. Like no fucking wonder I’m damage af
i went to a rehab for a brief stint… totally voluntarily and actually had to fight like fuck to get in, but all it turned out to be was basically AA meetings several times a day every day… it was supposed to be for 2 weeks but they turned me loose at 1 week after i refused to do prayers and whatever the fuck ‘god’ shit they kept going on about over and over
im not ‘atheist’ in that i don’t give a shit what anyone thinks about god or no god or whatever, i just don’t want to be forced to say and do things i don’t think have any relevance to anything whatsoever
cult? um, you mean lame stream media??? or, organized religion??? maybe you mean the so-called education system… haha… by the time i was 14 i had already trained a wolf to read dawkins to me (i’m illiterate) but yeah enjoy talking to your little friend in the sky i guess
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synanon
Synanon, originally known as Tender Loving Care, was a new religious movement founded in 1958 by Charles E. “Chuck” Dederich Sr. in Santa Monica, California, United States. Originally established as a drug rehabilitation program, Synanon developed into an alternative community centered on group truth-telling sessions that came to be known as the “Synanon Game”, a form of attack therapy.
Described as one of the “most dangerous and violent cults America had ever seen”, Synanon disbanded in 1991 after several members were convicted of offenses including financial misdeeds, evidence tampering, terrorism, and attempted murder
That was me up till ~14
It might hurt but I’m sure it’s a step toward healing. Good luck.
