First attempt. Poll is closed, I can’t find any articles to help me get started by my zone. Looks like it requires registration. Just wanted to give some feedback on the barriers that are making me procrastinate this for later.

Clicked to take the poll, Saw that it wasnt working, took the fact that the poll thats big and prominent on their website not working as an indicator of the rest of the website and went along my merry way.

It’s a shame this doesn’t go further and make the knowledge open source.

If the hosts for this project ever stop then all the info contribution goes to waste :/

I know it would be impractical but i would like to see something like this powered by an open repo where for example all the guides and plant info was stored in a format like markdown docs.

Could use something simple like Docusaurus to power the front end and then have contributors use some sort of front end that wraps that git pull part so non coders could still add to it.

The beautiful thing is that plant data can be accessed without any compute.

When you think about it, we have so few “season” to experience in a human life, a max of farming knowledge must be shared and available to all.

Maybe a take on Google/Alphabet? He might think it gets (purposely) drowned in the results so he won’t be able to find it if he doesn’t save it? No idea though…

“Alphabet” memeing is generally talk about FBI/ATF/etc. Pretty common in prepper communities.

Im thinking hes saying that if you “liberate yourself” by growing vegetables, good luck, as it’s a first step to “big goverment” coming for you. Most of them fantasize about that bit, so they can be the “hero” in their otherwise mundane lives.

Bit of a non sequitur honestly, but I cant see any other meaning that even vaguely works. He wants to fight the “alphabet soup,” so hes now bookmarking this shit.

I looked at some of the examples and I think it would be helpful if there were fields for more detailed information such as optimal soil type/chemistry/pH and common pests/diseases and how to treat them.
