Couldn’t find another decent link in that wasn’t written in Dutch, but you’ll find it at the bottom of the story.
Besides the storage and RAM, nothing else has changed.
Are you forgetting that usb-c headphones exost or is this on purpose for dramatic effect?
I mean, usb-c headphones work only with usb-c ports…
The whole point of the 3.5mm jack is that it’s ubiquitous. So am I supposed to buy new usb-c headphones instead that can only be used on my new phone and nothing else in my house, etc.?
you can get adapters that are basically just short extension cables for the headphones, the only real issue with not having a 3.5mm jack is that it means you need a fancier solution for charging while listening to music.
The real problem is they took a ubiquitous jack that needed zero dongles no matter where you used it and binned it.
It brought exactly zero solutions (because you could already use bluetooth even if the phone had a jack) and more problems (adapters, can’t charge and listen at the same time, well without yet another adapter, etc.)
I appreciate your input but I don’t understand how people excuse all this. “Just use this adapter and then this” Why? What problem have we solved? IP68 was doable with a jack, etc. Basically people are cheering on companies who did this all for their own bottom line- not for any consumer benefit.
