I agree with you but everything you’re describing costs political capital and we aren’t in positions to judge our politicians for their judgements on it. We should question, AbSoFuckingLutly, but we don’t know the real inner workings. The whole deal is best understood thru the soviet term. Russians called it politick, which roughly translates to the greater amount of energy and effort that would be spent to accomplish whatever, willingly, begrudgedly and forcefully. What would it really take to accomplish THIS from nothing. How much energy to move that body at rest, that wants to stay at rest? How many favors owed? How many favors cashed in? If you become beholden to Rep. Fuckface is he going to sandbag you and call it in and force you to vote against your principals or constituents?
