Since Omegle is gone apparently will you guys fill the niche and become a commies videochat site instead?
Oh no not my dick carousel
We’d do it in a second, but we’d have to convince the half that aren’t feds to be okay with it.
I would join but I am a bit too edgy for comfort.
^ OMG Look! Trans flag in display name!
Who downvoted this??? WHY? This is actually a good thing, previously you couldn’t have a trans flag in your display name.
It might’ve been a bug? I’ve had mine for many months
No. It ““wasn’t”” a bug. It’s just not always existed. So it used to be that one could, then specific unicode letters were forbidden, one of them being part of the trans flag, now one can again since I fixed this back in October.
You’ll never take my treats away
Are there known issues with Lemmy 0.19 on the Jerboa app? I just updated to the latest 0.0.53 (no idea which version I was previously on) and I can’t log in. I get some strange error basically saying that it can’t find a custom emoji keyboard.
I will also open an issue on the Jerboa repo.
Edit: It’s fixed! Update to Jerboa 0.0.54
Ya I’m getting that also, thx for opening an issue.
Here is the issue, in case you or anyone else have anything to add. https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/issues/1294
Sometimes I use Eternity (fork of Infinity for Reddit). Logging in works but comments don’t send.
It’s fixed! Update to 0.0.54
I don’t get any error the app just immediately crashes.
There was a note about that in one of the recent changelogs. Maybe the latest version will fix your issue as well.
I can’t login on Jerboa because I get an illegal input error about how field ‘id’ is required for type with serial name blah blah blah. This is after I updated to the latest version because I kept getting an error on the last one about a missing JWT token ):
It’s fixed! Update to 0.0.54
Thanks for the heads up! It works now (:
Any ideas when it gets uploaded to fdroid? They only got .52, there.
Fdroid releases are delayed by maybe a week compared to the Github repo. At some point I switched to installing from the Github releases because of that.
Yeah, but then I have to check for new versions manually, correct?
Yes, you have to check and install versions manually.
I don’t install every single release, just every couple weeks when I get around to it or when there’s an acute issue.
I also get notifications from newreleases.io, where you can basically follow Github or other repositories/registries to receive email notifications for updates. So I don’t necessarily check the repo, but get release notes in my inbox and decide if it’s worth upgrading from there.
Will this be the update that fixes the massive emojis?
Not sure tbh, but I think so.
It should. I remember a fix being merged for it in the UI code.
This? Federate emoji sizing #2063
Instances federated with others (mostly hexbear) are finding that custom emojis on federated instance aren’t rendered at the same size as locally. This change embeds a ‘emoji’ string in the markdown title to signify that it is an image that is intended to be rendered the same size as a local custom emoji.

I already miss the “view source” feature.
Inconclusive? I’m not sure what was the expected result.
On jerboa, if you tap on an emoji to make it fullscreen, it stays magnified after you back out. Even after you leave the thread and come back, the emoji stays huge.
I’d show you a screenshot but I’m getting an “incorrect_login” error when I try to attach an image to this comment.
yippee
Finally the emoji picker works again! 🎉
Super excited that the update is finally done!!!
Woah, my new comment is gold. Cool!😲
I wonder if Kissinger has met with Lucifer in Hell
ಠᴗಠ
Woah. Did you synchronize watches with the Lemmy.ml upgrade?
Login is bugged on android firefox, it spams “incorrect login” and “wrong credentials” something like that
I switched to Opera
I just tested this on ff android, and logging in is working. Could you open an issue in the lemmy-ui repo?
I’ll to find some time to do it
Who decided on the colours of the new comment and first reply… spine? It’s nearly impossible to see if a new comment is a reply.
