That’s essentially the biggest problem of the game (not even aliens particularly). It’s not that the worlds are empty of stuff, it’s that it’s empty of people of any type. It’s an rpg, but the whole time you’re just going through empty nothing and running into the same raiders. There’s no life to the universe, it’s just reskinned fallout but somehow worse.
Hearing there was no environmental storytelling made me lose the last of any interest I had in it. The lived in feeling of their worlds is my favorite thing about Bethesda.
