I’ll be downvoted to oblivion for this, but I think it’s perfectly fine.

Is it the greatest thing I’ve ever played? No, but not every game has to be the best game since Ocarina of Time.

I’m 67 hours in and still enjoying it, and I arguably haven’t gotten into the really time consuming stuff like Outpost or Ship building.

It’s a piece of media-consume it or don’t, but don’t let the internet make your mind up for you in either direction.

That’s a pretty shitty thing to say. No one here is saying if you enjoy the game you’re a Bethesda sheep or a Todd sycophant. People are allowed to dislike a game that you like, it doesn’t mean they’re just mindlessly following the crowd.

Personally I was hyped for it. I played it from day 1 without looking at reviews. I even bought the stupid controller that has since broken. I was bored for the first 15ish hours of the game, it got a little better for the next 20ish hours, and then I got bored again. It just became a chore and the flaws got harder and harder to overlook. Eventually I gave up, came on Reddit, and saw that most people agreed. No one told me what to think.

You enjoy Starfield? Great, keep playing. If you don’t want to hear the criticism, fine, ignore it. There’s a whole no sodium sub you can join. But don’t dismiss and insult a huge swath of people just because they don’t agree with your opinion.

In any case, I hope you do love it, because you’re most likely getting more of the same with ES6.

Same here. I played about 120-ish hours, into NG+1, I have really enjoyed the game. It’s almost certainly my favorite Bethesda game (which I’ve played since Morrowind, I didn’t hit up Daggerfall or Arena.). It has an aesthetic that I am a huge fan of, and we don’t see very often in games. The only thing that really disappointed me about the game is the main quest, I felt like the questions were more interesting than the answers. If anything I feel like the community has been weirdly critical of the game, and many of the complaints seem like they’re coming from people who haven’t played it. But I’m not terribly surprised. Every Bethesda game since Morrowind has had a huge number of people complaining and saying that it didn’t live up to their standards. That isn’t to say there aren’t valid criticisms. There are things I think will improve after some patching and expansions, same as every other game they’ve put out.

I had a blast with Starfield, 95 hours, I only stopped because I didn’t want to burn out before the creation kit comes out. I plan on jumping back in next year and roaming the galaxy again.

Same here. Was it game of the gen?

      No.

But I got my money’s worth.

Plus, I had one of the funniest moments of gaming this year. I sniped a pirate in the back, he shouted NO!!! and was booted into oblivion.

      I was laughing for a solid a 2 minutes

      #Oh ragdoll physics, NEVER CHANGE😂

I think you need to look at what you play bro.

Starfield is one of the worst games to come out this year. At first I liked it too however after seeing what folks on Reddit are saying about it? Yeah it’s a pile of trash made by a company that shits the bed who are owned by the worst company in gaming history.

Really bro it’s the worst game of the year.

Nah, that title belongs to the “tropes tripping over tropes because the writers and devs are incompetent” BG3. Dogshit unfun gameplay, poorly written dialog, Absolutely abysmal storywriting, boring world design, stale “kill x or y” quests, unfinished act 2 and 3, unoptimized act 3 that gets worse with every update, and tencent botting on gaming centered communities to sway the empty-headed masses that don’t play anything to say le popular opinion.
