Just thought it was an interesting stat that we have not had a matchup in almost 40 years where both teams had never won a Super Bowl before. Every game since then has featured at least one team having won the title before. It makes sense as the league has been around for longer, the odds of this happening will happen less frequently, but it does seem like a very long time where teams from each conference have featured at least one previous winner.

The first thing I thought about when reading this post was Super Bowl 34. Rams - Titans. Neither had won before.

Well, for those who are unaware, here are the teams without a Super Bowl.

AFC: Bills, Bengals, Chargers, Titans, Browns, Texans, Jaguars

NFC: Vikings, Falcons, Panthers, Cardinals, Lions

My dream Superbowl would be Texans and Lions in Dallas, as the Texans win and watching Jones stroke out on live TV and the screams of Bud Adams coming from his grave.

My personal dream is a 45-44 win over the Cowboys on a Fairbairn bomb from 50+ as time expires. It’s a very specific score and I don’t know why it features so heavily

Well, when the Broncos meet the Giants in the SB this year, it will be a different story.

Jags vs Lions would not only be between 2 teams that never won, but it’d also be between two teams that had never even gotten there before. The Lions are the only NFC team that has yet to play in a Super Bowl, and the Jaguars are one of 3 AFC teams that haven’t.

In a sense, the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals were both playing for their first superbowl title in 2021.
