We’re a poverty franchise, the fucking redditors could’ve done a better job building a team.
Taking a TE that high when, Jamar chase, micha, Devonta smith, Jaylen waddle, Penie Sewell, Patrick Surtain, were taking right after. Is why we will be a poverty franchise for decades
Then the following year taking the slowest wide receiver when our defense was ass and Garrett Wilson was on the board.
Then the following year taking a RB when we have an elite run game already, when arguably the best player in the draft is still on the board when historically we have had the worst pass rush in decades
Fuck my dad for making me watch this team and cursing me with being a falcons fan.
Pitts was the right pick. Now the other two I can’t defend. I’d have gone Hamilton and Carter and made our defense elite.
There is no universe, including one where Pitts has consistently played at Hall of Fame levels since draft day, where taking a TE at #4 is a logical choice for building a franchise. If you don’t understand why no other club has done that, then you do not understand positional valuation. Don’t feel bad, though, because clearly our GM doesn’t either. Two years later he made an even worse value decision to take an RB in the first.
Well the thing with Pitts is he’s not supposed to be used strictly as a TE. He’s just an offensive weapon. Our brilliant head coach hasn’t used him as one.
Pitts isn’t really a true TE. He’s more like a massive slot WR
Also, if re-drafts were a thing, then guys like Kelce, Andrews, and Kittle would be top 5 talents on every draft board
No they would not, assuming you mean re-drafting an actual NFL team vs a fantasy team. NFL teams show you what’s important by voting with their dollars.

So Travis Kelce wouldn’t be a top 5 pick in an NFL re-draft?
Guys like Kelce are essentially elite WRs
