Can i use simcard in Portable Hotspot device though it has a Hotspot limit?

I use a sim in usa which is having unlimited internet but hotspot limit is only 2 gb.
If i insert the simcard in a portable hotspot device,will i still have the hotspot restriction? Or i can use unlimited internet facility of the simcard Through hotspot device?
