This is for mmr, dtap, polio and var vaccines. Vaccination rates for children are below 95% for the first time in a decade also.

Ten states have exemption rates of over 5%. Idaho has like 12% exemption rates. Very cool.

I work with a guy who moved to Idaho to get around child vaccination laws. He is proud that he is protecting his kids and will tell you this. Never-mind the guy is living in a mix raced marriage in the middle of mormon town. I explained his children will have zero friends and he said its okay as they will be home-schooled.

Everyone always makes fun of the South, but I feel like Idaho does not get nearly enough hate for being just as much of a reactionary, fascist hellhole. Idaho will usher in American fascism.

Growing up in Utah I always tell people the same thing about Idaho. The bottom half is all hardcore Mormons who are insane and would instantly turn on any non-Mormons when the time comes. The top half of Idaho is full of Nazi’s and has been for a long time.

when I was younger, I used to get in these circular discussion/arguments about what be the cause of some assumed near future population crash. I e. nuclear exchange/nuclear winter, rapid climatic shift, etc.

I always was confidently in the “Virus X” as a stand in for some lethal pathogen, because I assumed the evolutionary key was going to outpatce our regularly updated locks.

never thought this whole anti-vax shit would be so popular and that so many race to the red light. with their own kids, no less.

With this it’s not even virus x though, it’s viruses we’ve previously had under control, but our entire population has decided that nah, we’d rather resurrect Victorian-era diseases

I’ve been blocked by family and old school friends over this stuff several years ago. They really don’t like seeing videos of children with polio or whooping cough.

It really sucks the kids will suffer, especially since so many of these parents actually got vaccinated as kids.
