I mean yeah, she saved kids’ lives and now she’s dead. She probably had a meaningful impact on a lot of people, and saying who she is and how she was important in the community helps us feel the full impact of her death.

I guess, but not dressing well doesn’t play into pre-existing sexist/homophobic narratives. I’m more okay with someone having a stigma against someone not dressing well, than I am okay with someone having a stigma based on gender or sexuality. Of course there are issues with the former too, like someone could be sloppily dressed because they don’t have time or money to invest in and maintain a good wardrobe, they could just be living a simple lifestyle and don’t like it, like it’s not great … but not as bad imho. And tbh the first post wasn’t really a joke, it was an attempted motivational thing.

And, I would say the jokes about tight women’s clothing are not applied in the same way. There are form-fitting outfits that women wear daily, that go uncommented on.
