My main game for way too long has been Escape From Tarkov (just can’t seem to fully get away from it), but I’ve been taking a break from it for a few months.
In the meantime, I’ve been playing a lot of Slay the Spire, Monster Train, and emulating various games on PCSX2. It’s been fun to play “lighter” stuff with less commitment! I’ll occasionally pick up various other shooters for the sake of playing with my friends, there just isn’t a lot in that realm that’s really scratching the itch for me lately.
Not so much a gimmick, as much as something that seemingly went extinct that I miss: rear fingerprint sensors. I loved them on my Nexus/Pixels, and the in-screen one on my 6a is way less consistent and convenient.
Also it flashbangs me when I try to unlock my phone at night.
As a heavy Sync Pro user for something like a decade, with a lot of respect for ljdawson and the work he put in - the announcement that he’s working on a new version for Lemmy was what pushed me to move away from Reddit and give this a shot. So excited for the new project! Hopefully other users feel the same way I did.
I was hoping for more spicy trades and general chaos, but realistically the first round went how I expected it. Danielson was a bit of a surprise, but I’ll trust Steve on that one. Very excited for Sandin-Pellikka, I liked what I heard about him a lot.
I expected us to try for more pure goal-scoring forwards, a little bummed that it feels like we almost exclusively drafted defensemen in the first few rounds, but defense wins championships so I’m not too worried.
Curious to see how they all pan out, I imagine it’ll be a few years before we see them in the show.
