Hello, tone-policing genocide-defender and/or carnist 👋

Instead of being mad about words, maybe you should think about why the words bother you more than the injustice they describe.

Have a day!

  • Participating in…? Adopting animals and treating them like family when the alternative is that they may not have been adopted or loved?

I don’t buy animals, and I don’t treat them like property because it is wrong to do so. It’s more than just not using the term “pet”. It’s about treating other sentient beings with the consideration they deserve.

  • I’ll add to some of the other comments here by saying that I think the term “pet” doesn’t quite capture the relationship that vegans would describe as ethical. “Pet” implies a sort of status that is lower than the rest of the family. Closer to some inert object that you can enjoy and put away when you’re bored.

I prefer to think of them as members of my family. They are family, not pets, not property.

  • The user hasn’t spoken about the genocide.

Lmao. Did you look? Simply check their post history during the height of the anti-genocide protests.

Every post is a direct attack against Biden and in turn a campaign ad for Trump. Feels an awful lot like a Russian propaganda agent or a closeted trump thumper, which is the same thing.

This is just immature black-and-white and conspiratorial thinking. Pointing out that Biden is ass on Palestine and people are concerned about his age is literally just pointing to reality. These are things that people I talk to IRL are all saying.

It’s faaar from a hot take, but I guess all the people I know IRL are just pro-Trump, Russian bots, despite consistently voting democrat for as long as I’ve known them 🤷

If you don’t want people pointing out the glaring issues with the presumptive democratic nominee, don’t bend over backward to justify the problematic nominee. The criticism and disdain isn’t going to go away by ignoring it.
