This reminds me that owls can turn their heads to freaky angles because that head looks turned way around that my neck hurts just from looking.
But the shot is great though. Just that phwoosh of warer.

That’s a handsome fella.
Great article and photos. Sorry to read about crap irl for you too. Hope it works out.
And it’s interesting how what is and isn’t protected. Makes me feel like how so many people use loopholes to just oopsy their way through possibly irreversible damage. I hope that situation works out for the owls too. At least safely relocate them or something.
This manager at least decides to park it rather than doubling down which honestly already puts her better than many.
Thank you for letting me realise he’s updating new stuff. His work is always such a treat and we’re getting more!
Yeah, some of those don’t make sense no matter the angle.
That looks like a beautiful fan dance pose. Such a great shot.
No see, if you look at it at the correct angle it just makes sense.
Even if the angle is upside down.
Very cute. Certain angles can even make her grumpy moo deng!
Moving fluffy balls! So cute. And almost in sync. Just a bit more practice and they too can haunt houses and scare people like a horror movie.
It shall burrow into your heart.
Those eyes are definitely the defining feature for this photo. Looks fascinating and hope it recovers well.
I have made the correction! I should have taken a photo of the labels but I always just go for the animals and then forget their names later haha. And yes it was taken in Sydney, Australia.
I know the second was the Masked owl because the name and its markings were a perfect match so it stuck in my head. That face is so Mask.
The burrowingbarking owl definitely. It was the most expressive one and moving its head and looking all smug.
I took several photos trying to find the best smug look. Here’s a winkies one.
Those eyes are the void. And you’re right about the colour and plump too. You just wanna cuddle them.
That’s an amazing case of full body bedhead. Also I too would be grumpy at being woken up. Sleep is precious!
Wow, never really see the photos with the eyes closed as much. Looks like a cheerful old man.
Ooh she finally got a name! That’s always good news. Amazing recovery.
