That was one boring win
That was one boring win
That throw to Pitts looked like it had no chance
Arthur Smith always calls the play that’s least expected…because there’s a reason you shouldn’t do it.
Lmao, talk about no trust in your offense doing a QB sneak
Dalvin Cook about to have his best game of the season
Ideally, we make the playoffs, while Ridder and Arthur Smith look great doing it.
A losing record, even if they make the playoffs, is unacceptable when it comes to retaining Smith — although Mr. Blank probably disagrees.
Ridder is fine to stay as a backup no matter happens.
Anything can happen. There’s been teams with losing records to win before in the postseason. It’s just not likely.
Considering Shanahan’s lost a Super Bowl himself, probably the same result
Arnold Ebiketie sighting
This offense would look better under Mariota…he was just a more natural, instinctive runner…
More Desmond Ridder turnovers in scoring position, but the bigger issue is Arthur Smith’s passing game concepts are pitiful
Finish 9-8 and make the playoffs, ok, I won’t like it, but he “earned” another year.
8-9 or less and make the playoffs, hell no.
I still don’t mind the Bijan pick. If Allgeier was the lead back, we’d be even worse right now on offense with his 3.4 yds a carry average. In an ideal world, it would’ve gone:
Never hire Arthur Smith
2021: QB Justin Fields - have Matt mentor him for a year
2022: WR Garrett Wilson - better prospect and bank on the chemistry they had at Ohio State
2023: RB Bijan Robinson - keep surrounding the young QB with talent
Add in one of those TEs like LaPorta, and we would’ve been fine on offense. Then, similarly build the D via free agency and trades.
Lmao, oh so now this sub says it was a terrible pick.
I knew this regime was a failure when they took a TE at #4. Pitts was way over-drafted and projected too high by scouts all because of his measurables and wingspan.
His 1000 yard season wasn’t even that impressive considering it was a 17 game season and a big chunk of his yardage came from 3 games — 2 of which were against the worst teams in football.
He seems like a humble, nice dude based on all the interviews I’ve seen, but he is not a revolutionary player and Smith certainly does him no favors.
Fire Smith, promote Nielsen.
