You’re on the right track. I’d say regarding low-income development in capitalism, it can be progressive if it’s not a concentration of poverty but instead used to create income-diverse neighborhoods. That could be building low income developments in medium to high income neighborhoods. It could be mandating a meaningful portion of units within medium to high income buildings be allocated to low income or public housing. It needs strong enforcement from housing agencies, equal maintenance investment, and a way to absolutely negate the political influence of nimbys (you don’t get these things without a DotP or at least very powerful socialist movement).

Has just been overhauled and rebuilt alongside our entire recruitment process. The most frequent complaint by far I’ve heard about on Hexbear is applying and then never hearing back. The party, nationwide, is aware of this problem and has created new internal systems to ensure that doesn’t happen anymore. It was a result of the old systems being sufficient for a smaller party, but the amount of interest in the party is much higher now than it ever was. Now, we should be far better able to the amount of incoming membership applications and move people into the formal candidacy or at-large process faster and more reliably.

The only meaningful environmental impact of wind and solar are:

1. Material and transportation cost to build
2. Land required
3. Disposal at end of life

For solar, which I’m an expert on, 1 and 3 are no big deal. You do need a lot of land for large scale solar production, but there are many areas to place it that will have minimal environmental impact: deserts, grasslands, floating (expensive), etc.

For wind, it’s reverse. Much more effort to build, maintain, and decommission, but much denser energy generation per acre.

Either way, both are extremely good and should be built more basically everywhere.

Ballot access rules vary wildly between states. In some getting on the ballot is super easy (Florida). In some it’s a lot of work but doable, and organized to make that happen (California, Minnesota, Virginia). In some the latter is true but the party was repressed and removed from the ballot anyways (Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia). In others the bar to get on is so high that it’s basically impossible for new parties so a write in is the best we can do (NY, Michigan).
