Good looking out, I haven’t been to that site in quite awhile.
It would be good to have some kind of resource about developing a threat model and the impossibility of anonymity as well.
bmf posting is back baby!
Okay, when you said you wanted to print parts I assumed you meant components with nylon or rubber attributes or something like that that needed to be more performant than pla.
If it’s just “stuff” you want to print but don’t want it to turn out all “fucked up” then get an ender and a cardboard box and some insulation and put the insulation on the inside of the box surfaces and put the box over the ender.
You won’t be able to see what’s happening, but after you calibrate the printer for use with an insulated enclosure (a cardboard box with old insulation stapled to it) it’ll be able to consistently crank out quality parts.
When you start getting self conscious about your trailer park ass 3d printer, look up some of the nicer clear plastic enclosure builds and make one of those.
I use 3d printers to make parts on a weekly basis.
The fdm (squirting) ones that are “set and go” start around $2000.
Most of that is having a controlled environment for the squirt to transition in and having “profiles” appropriate for doing more than making bowsette statues.
It’s hard to use the information in the diy community to make functional parts because they’re all making bowsette statues.
The exception is guns. The gun people have extensive information that will allow anyone to produce a functional (?) firearm (?) using a $99 printer and the cheapest pla on Amazon.
There is little to be learned from the gun people because the properties a functional (?) firearm (?) requires are super specific and don’t really correspond to much else.
To get a functional “good” diy fdm setup, you need to start with a ~$1000 printer like a prusa knockoff and build an enclosure with climate control around it and set up some kind of sbc that will manage all of that and maybe send commands to the printer to adjust its bullshit to whatever +/- 1 degree variation occurs.
Everything I just wrote is about fdm with non-basic pla stuff. If you just wanna make bowsette statues and guns then get whatever your files are sliced for (it’s an ender 3) and use that.
Resin printers can be more set and forget, but you need to buy a good one to start with, have ventilation, have wash and curing stations and it has to be able to handle whatever goofball non-warhammer-figurine material you’re using.
If you just want to print warhammer figurines then get an elegoo mars (?) and use it.
Not sure if you’re serious but sony mdr. They’re everywhere and parts and guides to repair them yourself are cheap and they’re most likely the headphones the musicians were monitoring themselves on when they recorded the music you like.
If you want quality and clarity from wireless headphones, get the ones that go with your phone.
Your laptop has two fans. The 15-ek00xx models used 12v and 5v fans depending on the particular configuration. You can buy each one from
this Amazon seller
Before you do, open the case up and look at the fans to see which ones you have.
here’s the 15-ek000 service manual
E: I just read the relevant section of the service manual and you gotta pull the heatsink to replace the fans. Buy some thermal paste so you can reapply while you’re in there.
A tremendous amount. The oems that make the stick up panel or flush panel head units are built out to move very quickly from design to prototype to finished product because there’s no back and forth.
The manufacturer of the car says “hey I got a space this size, what can you give me” and the head unit oem says “a buttonless touchscreen unit of size x or a button having touchscreen unit of size y, what’s your address I’ll overnight you two demo models”.
There’s no back and forth about design language or control feel, materials versus cost, none of that shit.
Bydeez nuts
Qualcomm confirmed asset
What would you even do on that sub, just post weather different stuff floats?
The analog economy never died.
The people who write this stuff have literally never been to a show with less than a hundred people in attendance. You gotta make sure the 50 unit run from national comes in before everyone piles into your sisters Jetta for a quick three state tour.
Hey, I updated my images based on this and used one yesterday to help a friend.
Everything went great, thanks for the good post!
Water them every other day and keep em between 90 and 60f until they hatch into baby chia pets.
That’s smart.
I’m saying this not to belittle or hurt you, but to make my point clear:
You are not capable of what you’re saying. It is not possible to safely include people in your group while doing what you’re saying.
If that sounds like too much of an assumption, if it sounds like I’m being hyperbolic, think of this completely not yanked from the local headlines amalgamation of cop activities in the surrounding handful of rural counties over the last year:
You’re doing something, an opponent shows up to agitate. There is violence, the police show up. Did everyone leave their phones at home? Does everyone’s phone have biometrics turned off? Is everyone trained to resist interrogation? Has everyone changed login credentials from data breaches? If their phones are Apple, do they have lockdown and advanced data protection turned on? are they not carrying the recovery code on their person? If they’re using an android phone, is it running a trustworthy non manufacturer install? Are they capable of figuring out if an android version is trustworthy? If they’re all in some trustworthy encrypted chat, are they treating it like there’s someone screenshotting?
A vpn wouldn’t help at all if any one of those things were wrong.
Just recently, a peaceful talk about Palestinian resistance was interrupted by Zionists and violence broke out. Are all your people 100% prepared even when it’s a seemingly friendly environment?
Don’t organize online. In person or bust. Don’t take computers with you unless they’re wiped clean except for the bare minimum that is needed to do the job they’re gonna be used for. A phone is a computer.
There’s two ways to do this:
The online organizing way is to use a paid vpn to prevent local WiFi attacks and isp snooping, harden all devices and computers that will be used, only use encrypted communications and develop data security practices compatible with the possibility of being jammed up.
You gotta have real knowledge and awareness to pull this off as an individual, or a huge point of trust/failure in one person who does it for you.
If you do all that then the cops will just use metadata and inference to get warrants or just have someone infiltrate you or turn a trusted member.
The other way, the way the bolsheviks used, is to only organize in person and develop a no-trust framework for interacting with your community.
Then the cops will infiltrate or turn members but you have at least prepared for it and expect it.
If they can’t use third party tracking cookies and they respect do not track and you have ppa turned off then they’re just not fucking gonna let you see their shit unless you make an account and give them some way to advertise to you.
The internet is television with even more ads and tracking. You have to either pay to not have it happen or actively take part in an arms race against it or some combination of both.
