I think there’s something similar in terms of initial patent rights, but it’s awful that people who need these meds are footing the bill. I realise now that I have been spoiled by the NHS. The idea of charging people for medical care that they need is unthinkable to me. It’s heartbreaking.

Generics are literally a fact of life over here (UK) and the fact that Americans are going insane over them is wild to me. The NHS will prescribe generics as standard because they’re cheaper to supply and they’re literally the same drug.
My mother has a whole goody-bag of medication and there’s not a single brand name to be seen. They’ve kept her going for >10 years.

My own mother will just add curry powder, veg, and chicken chunks to a pot of chicken stock and call that curry. It is an abomination. I haven’t eaten it in years and it haunts my nightmares still.
I love raisins in my curries because they actually add depth of flavour but when they’re in something like granola, you just know it’s filler. Also it ruins the texture if it’s in something crunchy because of the sudden squidge and I hate how these little fuckers get stuck in my teeth when they’re dry.
Sorry, I think this post unleashed years of raisin resentment. But yeah I completely agree that people who don’t like them in curries or other savoury dishes are missing out because that slight sweetness is wonderful.
I’d say the American one because as a British person, I haven’t sung ours once in my entire life but Americans seem to sing theirs for everything.

It was a painful process, having my love of Pokémon games slowly stripped away until I finally gave up on them. It’s hard giving up on something that you’ve loved from childhood. Pokémon used to be my comfort game and it’s now unplayable trash.
The only reason I still have my Switch at all right now is the Zelda franchise because I currently lack the means to emulate. And the occasional sale item from the eShop because I’m not paying full price for a Switch game ever again after they ruined Pokémon.
I’m surprised no one’s brought up the hellscape we know as the Nintendo eShop. It’s >90% trash.
