If we count any mistake in a loss as being directly responsible for the loss, then yes he is. He also led go-ahead or game-tying scoring drives in the final 2 minutes of 4 out of their 6 losses. As has been the case his entire career, the Bills defense has been awful at preventing last minute scores.
It’s funny that if the Bills defense could finish off games Josh Allen’s reputation would be completely opposite of what you wrote. Almost every heartbreaking Bills loss in the past 6 years had a final 2 minutes Bills scoring drive to either tie the game or give them the lead. That includes 13 seconds, Hail Murray, the Jefferson miracle catch, and losses this season to the Jets, Pats, Broncos, and Eagles.
I’m confident they would be favored in any game against a team ranked 10th or worst. Right now they’re only 3 point underdogs for their next game, which is against the #3 Chiefs in Kansas City.
