As an Israeli Jew I disagree. I’d love if IDF could oust Hamas out of Gaza while avoiding civilian life loss. Sadly it’s impossible, with their current tactics of hiding among the more cluttered neighborhood, or setting missile launchers on top of schools and hospitals.

What would happen if one day those subsidies were to stop? I presume the fuel prices would triple, so that all consumer goods were to rise in price… but after giving it some time to stabilize, this would promote the move to sustainable/renewable fuel sources?
