I’m on the very last life of my current car and I’ve been watching prices. To compare, I bought my current car for 8k. It had 99k miles on it and it has lasted 10 years with no major service other than an A/C compressor.

Granted the market 10 years ago was a lot different, but there is nothing in my area that I would feel comfortable financing for under 20k. At that point I can get a brand new Versa or Corolla for a few grand more. With either of those I get a warranty and brand new components. It’s not even a question which is the better deal.

We should probably start a list at this point. So far we know that Trumpers don’t know what’s in the Bible, 8th grade science books, or the Constitution. They really are just making it all up as they go along.

It’s the illusion of freedom that Americans are obsessed with. The idea is that we are free to choose our insurance provider, doctor, utility provider, etc.

The reality is we are stuck with the insurance plan our employer provides or that we get on the healthcare marketplace and we go to the doctor that our insurance company partners with. Utility providers are restricted to whoever provides service at our address.

Add to that, Americans as a whole are extremely selfish. My Uber-conservative parents and in-laws would give us their last dollar but thumb their nose at the idea of helping someone they don’t know.

None of us have the actual numbers, but I would bet a hefty amount that if we just socialized everything that we already pay for, the bill each month would not be much different.

In a functioning democracy, a person like Trump would never stand a chance after his first term, never mind the evidence of his criminality.

Our democracy is broken from too many uneducated people who need someone else to tell them what to think about a topic. The cult of personality relies on emotional appeals instead of fact base reason.

When you watch the ideas and policies that self-proclaimed Christians are promoting, it’s easy to get confused.
