I have no clue, but I imagine this hard grown clump with multiple stems is several decades old.
Thank you for clearing this up. I thought the ritteri is the one with lots of wrinkles. I loved the valdezii for its beauty and the ritteri for its ugliness lol. But perhaps this characteristic is very variable within the species.

Maybe you’re lucky and the top right rootstock grows a new branch – but that’s a long time for those cute little cacti to corrupt your evil soul with beauty and love ❤️🩹 So be careful!
