Saying that part out loud helps ME focus on why I am saying it and why I would get so worked up over something. I often need to apologize and change my tone after I say it.

Any mismatch between CPU configuration and memory from a sales stand point is unrecoverable. It creates garbage for the pursuit of profit while making the consumer experience worse.

There would be single CPU die to make allowing for increased yields as opposed to an unique CPU per ram spec. As well a single motherboard sku that only requires a DIMM to be added to change system configurations. Future larger configurations would be offered on the same cpu process for longer. I’m honestly floored that they are going through the extra expense and supply chain challenges to avoid using a socketed RAM. There are plenty of reasons why this could work for them.

Then make it apply. Have 8gb of on die memory and a slot for more ram.

A ram boost can take a machine from e-waste and make a usable box out of it. I’m still getting use out of my intel MPB but needed to add ram. I like to get about a decade of use out of computers to lessen the impact of consumerism.

The whole thing went down awful with basically no one on production being held accountable. It was legally recorded as a road accident.

Everyone with top billing on the movie was involved in making sure none of it stuck to the production, so the film could finish and everyone get paid out.

I’m just some salty film fan on the internet, but at the time it was shady as all get out and everyone was running cover as opposed to properly caring for the stunt actress. Milla involvement with the production and her husband wasn’t used to make things right.

I went from being a fan to not. As much as I enjoy this genre I’m skipping anything with her in it.

It’s absolutely tragic for someone to be that injured in such a preventable way.

She was the producer on the film and responsible for making sure that safety protocols are created and upheld. The corners cut were ultimately her decision.
