if you’re trying to convince people to buy an xbox instead of a playstation, yeah. And keep current xboxers within the ecosystem. post-purchase affirmation is a big component of advertising too.

It is the very definition of skepticism.

wild speculation is not an exercise in skepticism.

agreed. like I said, the execution was awful.
to be completely honest i don’t remember in detail. Just felt like a shitty derivative made for tv movie with a big CGI budget.
I hope you are right, but I think you are wrong. There is a long history now of people tolerating ads for services they like.
not to mention having to remember which app has which shows/movies at any given time.
Agreed, I also watched season 1 and was willing to watch an original take on halo, but it was just fucking terrible.
I’m not really sure I agree, and I think Fallout is a good case in point. They did nail the general vibe with the dark humor, easter eggs, etc, but it was pretty much a 100% original story that had very little to do with any of the games.
I think the same could have been done with Halo, except the writing and execution of the original story were fucking awful. Faithfulness to the games was never going to help it anyway.
I felt exactly the opposite, I don’t really care about halo lore that much and thought the show was horrible.
I don’t even think that was the issue, the show was just fucking awful no matter how much or little it had to do with Halo.
yeah as long as you have 4 other shooters out there I think russ is still a viable player. and since you have Jokic and Saric as shooting bigs you should be able to do that fairly often. Could also use him as a dunker like a mini-AG or Bruce Brown with less shooting.
The term is Generative AI.
The distinction you’re looking for is Artificial General Intelligence vs Generative AI. Classic sci-fi AI is “general”, whereas Generative AI is more “narrow” in focus. It may be that in the future lots of “narrow” AI working together make up a general AI in the aggregate.
reporting that the directors of the last avengers movies will be directing the next avengers movies is probably the least shocking thing they could have reported.
well yeah, they have added features to it over time. This isn’t all new stuff with the app this year.
Look I get that you can call it sherlocking to some degree, just not to “a whole new level” as you put it earlier. It was born from password saving in safari, which web browsers have always had, and evolved from there. Also also keypass on Mac to a lesser degree.
i mean this is basically all the same functionality passwords has had for many many years, just now in a separate app.
is this just for the “always free” version of Apple News, or for the paid + version as well?
also are we to believe china never has any outages of their own?
