I always smile at young kids if they meet my eye in public. Feeling loved and like you’re in a safe stable community is an invaluable part of growing up and I hope that all kids can feel a small amount of that from me.

Many evangelical Christians will harp on about reading the King James version without ever considering that he changed and censored much of the translation that occured.
The changing base recreates the superstructures upon it. I don’t think adaptations are necessarily anti art. There are a myriad of books, films, stage performances, animated shows and animated movies which are adapted from each other which showcase a beautiful story in a variety of forms.
The issue is doing this shit for a cash grab and not actually trying to create a beautiful adaptation of a story.
