I can’t really say SBMM is an overall esports problem because fighting games and MOBAs are also esports and usually people over there are pretty positive on SBMM from what I’ve seen

Usually the people complaining about SBMM are the FPS content creators who want it gone because they profit from being able to constantly stomp people worse than them for entertainment, often those content creators don’t even play in esports tournaments because then they’d have to fight fair lol

Man I’m sick of the phrase “optimizing the fun out of it all”, it’s so often flung around just to attack the entire concept of a game having advanced techniques and a high skill ceiling, even if the people executing said advanced techniques and playing high-level are having fun doing so, because people enjoy improving at stuff, you know? There can be a discussion about whether a game’s designed well enough that high-level play is fun to play, but that’s never what happens, it’s just people complaining endlessly about “tryhards” because people are playing competitively in a competitive game

His claim of “this is how online pvp games die” isn’t really based on anything, and he even says this is happening to Deadlock which is really funny considering its numbers just keep going up and the game has been getting loads of praise

The whole “the game isn’t even released yet!” thing is always especially funny because like, if you really think that this stuff is a problem, surely you’d want the devs to be aware of that as soon as possible so they can fix it before the game fully releases? Closed alphas don’t exist just so you can have fun, the point is to playtest the game

There’s also already a solution for the stated problem of “tryhards playing too good making it impossible for casuals to play”, it’s called SBMM, but usually the people who complain about stuff like this hate SBMM too for silly reasons

Also, I took a look at that guy’s profile and he constantly makes racist posts and calls people slurs, typical gaming YouTuber lmao

Also, avoid Call of Duty WWII (the 2017 one), that one doesn’t even have a Soviet campaign lol, it’s rather hilarious how much that one goes straight to “America won WWII” when the older CoDs were pretty good about not doing that

We’re literally Canadian and yet my brother was just in here trying to sing the praises of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to me, I was trying really hard to not tell him to fuck right off

The fact that he’s expecting me to be happy about people who are pro-genocide because of some token “progressive” promises (that probably won’t even mean anything once elected) is infuriating, especially when those promises don’t even affect us in particular

I use mine all the time, I love this thing even with its quirks

One of my favorite things about it is that it brings the full power of Steam Input (the input remapping system made for the Steam Controller and available for other controllers) to a handheld, I’m already a Steam Input diehard who plays as many games as possible with a controller so this is the best handheld for me, I’ve played a lot of games on here that normally use keyboard and mouse controls

Oh I don’t have a front basket on mine actually, I’m just dangling my helmet off the handlebar in that photo (unless you meant to reply to someone else like OP)

But I know you can get aftermarket front baskets/racks, just be careful if you get a mountain bike or something because not every front rack works with bikes that have front suspension (since the lower part of the fork moves up and down on those)

Personally I prefer a rear rack with a detachable pannier bag, my bike came with the rack (since that’s where the battery goes in on this one) and I got the bag cheap enough on Amazon, I can wear it over my shoulder when I get where I’m going and then just clip it back on the bike when I leave, you could also attach a basket or milk crate or whatever, which I gotta start doing eventually so I can carry more groceries

It also came with the fenders too, though of course those can also be bought aftermarket for bikes that don’t have them

Only other thing I wish it came with was lights, a lot of ebikes are capable of having their lights be directly powered by the motor’s battery so you don’t need to charge them separately, I’m using USB-charged ones for now which I gotta worry about separately

Here’s mine!! It normally isn’t glowing, but I had the LED tape on it for a group ride a few months ago and I still love how it looked then, it cycled through trans flag colors and everything 😊

I don’t have my license quite yet and our public transit kinda sucks so I’m reliant on this thing to get around a lot of the time, I still definitely plan on continuing to use it once I have my license though

There’s a grocery store nearby that I can get to in less than 10 minutes on this thing on a mixed-use “shared sidewalk” and I love doing it even though I can’t carry all that much (I could use another bag, and I should probably strap a milk crate on sometime)

On a basic level, I’m fine enough with you choosing to do this for this specific community, but is it really necessary? Have people actually been doing that here in this community specifically? If not, it’s a pretty pointless rule honestly, especially if you’re only making it because you disagreed with people talking about weed in a separate channel

Still not entirely sure if I can make myself do it, the consequences of the potential worst case scenario are so absolutely horrible that I have to be absolutely certain it’s not going to happen in order for me to be willing to take the risk, I probably wouldn’t be able to handle even the most basic patdown if the scanners decide to flag me, let alone if a TSA agent decides to be an abuser that day

I really wish though that this pointless security theater organization would be abolished already so that merely travelling internationally wasn’t so much to worry about

Been reading about trans people’s experiences with the TSA because flying is the only way I’ll ever get to be with my girlfriends (I’m in Atlantic Canada, they’re in western US), it’s just such a worry for me and makes me feel like I’ll never be able to make it happen because being sexually assaulted is not a price I’m willing or able to pay
