Matt Ryan had an average arm and made a great career out of being the smartest guy on the field and being able to process a defense quickly and get the ball out. Due to age, he can’t overcome the worn, aged arm anymore, so he needs to stay in the booth.
Ridder needs to finish this season regardless of whether he’s our long term starter. If we have to trade a lot of draft capital to trade up, or we have to sign a FA QB, we’ll continue to be a mediocre team. We need to draft a QB and O-line, and hopefully we can continue to add pieces on defense. FWIW, I’d love to have a QB like Jalen Milroe assuming he continues to develop well; he’s got great size and throws a nice deep ball. I can’t listen to another year of people complaining about Ridder or , though.
I had been rooting for Pittman to do well, but that’ll have to change. No way Arkansas can get insurance for any Petrino liability after being dumb enough to rehire him in violation of their own policy of not rehiring someone previously fired for cause.
