Still riding the high that we got a remaster for this game, doubly so with the PC port.

I was expecting it to come eventually through some GameCube emulation using Nintendo Online or something, but what I got was so much more.

I think the blunt edges and the ‘carrot’ theming are in relation to a trend of fidget toy knives that surged in popularity among Korean children. They were dubbed the carrot knife because of the distinctly orange blade, though the most popular brand (assuming there even was a brand) had a purple and green housing.

They went viral because a bunch of parents started freaking out that children playing with knives was setting a bad precedent. But like all viral things more people looking to make a quick buck hopped on the train and that’s where these carrot balisongs probably came from as well.

That and Wind Waker HD are the two heavy hitters that are still locked to the platform, there’s a handful of others like Twilight Princess HD, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Star Fox Zero, though porting some of those might not be possible without completely altering the gameplay.

It would’ve been nice if they kept Splatoon 1 alive somehow, but there’s zero chance of that when they already have two sequel games on switch.

Deafness isn’t binary, they could be capable of hearing the music but not making out the lyrics.

I was aware it was a pre-existing term, but it’s seeing a bit of resurgence, even in music, presumably because the younger generations think they’re inventing things left and right.

What on earth is crust-punk by the way? First I’ve ever heard of that.

-Core is the new term for just aesthetics, and I think that’s much more fitting over punk. Though in the case of steampunk, it’s one of the oldest -punks so getting people to swap over to steamcore or something would probably be met with a lot of opposition.

I remember buying some nuggets with a green filling and they were one of my favourite things to just pop in the toaster oven and eat while watching TV. I don’t recall what brand they were but I can easily see how they could be perceived as tastier than regular nuggets. The problem is whether or not they’re more affordable than chicken.

That just sounds like that thing where entering a place of comfort makes the body relax, which could easily trigger said urge, the quirk here is that this lady had it pinpointed to bookstores.
