I have no idea if it’s possible or not, but some sort of service that allows for users who have the same RSS feeds be able to comment on things happening… sort of like magazines lol
I agree that my reddit experience was largely small communities. I did not go to /r/all ever. The downside, so far, to the fediverse experience, is that those small communities don’t exist here. There’s not enough people to create that same small, niche interest that I was able to find on reddit.

Sometimes I feel like my reddit experience was so different from a lot of people’s. I unsubbed from all the default subs and built a specific homepage for the things I found interesting. Unfortunately for me, that means the communities were (relatively speaking) smaller than the popular ones, but still large enough to have frequent engagement. Going to be hard to replicate that, I think.
Seems like the main difference would be you’re not sourcing links from other people, it’s links from specific places you’ve chosen
