  • I’m hardly an expert on this, but my take would be :

    - VPNs must have a software server side, if you install this on your computer at home, you should be able to do connect to it and use it as a vpn. If you keep your computer at home turned on for weeks. I don’t advise this if there’s no one at home to check that.

    - You can install a VPN client on routers. Maybe you can instead install a VPN server on it?

    - Trying to go through your home network have several things that can go wrong. I think I’d maybe instead try to find a vpn in your same country, as close to home as you can, and make sure you have a dedicated IP? VPNs can be detected though.
