Humblebeast182@alien.topBtoGaming@level-up.zone•Lost a bet so I have to get my kids a non-Nintendo system. At this point, is there good reason to go with Xbox over PS5 (or vice versa)?English

1 year agoDo this instead, take an interest in your kids interests. You claim to make games for a living but don’t know anything about a “non-nintendo” game system? Huh? Have you tried talking to your kids about what they like and what their friends like?
I’m sorry then, from the context you provided and the texts it seemed as if you were not concerned nor did you care.
Oh okay, mobile games makes sense, you’re not a gamer but you make mobile stuff. I don’t mean that as an insult, it’s just the truth. If you mobile game, you’re not a gamer, you just enjoy casual stuff and that’s totally ok.
Also, can I just add a piece of advice and it’s likely not worth anything, don’t listen to what they say, watch they do. For example, I gave my nephew my old PS4 a few years ago. Then I went and hung out with him, he was playing Dark Souls, a game I NEVER would play, but I learned from that. He played it for hours and was quite bad at it, but it was nice to hang out with him and learn why he liked it.
Kids won’t always tell you exactly what they enjoy, but if you take a little time and pay attention, they’ll show you. Here’s something I tried: “I want to buy you a game for your birthday, do you have a few games or one you would like?” Then I ask about that game and listen, usually when kids find something they are passionate about, they’ll just tell you.
All that being said, I’m sorry if I made it seem like you don’t care about your kids, you clearly do. I only had so much context to go off of and I misunderstood, that’s my bad.
edit: get your kids a PC, it’s by far the superior and they won’t ever wanna go back to console gaming.
