I had an argument with some streamer who said Apple are the best phones for privacy reasons, talking about the (IMO) sham case about feds not being able to access iPhone data and all I had at the moment was how corporations don’t care about you and there is no oversight so we are taking them at their word when they say they won’t spy on us. :thumbs up:

Interesting, have you shared your thoughts with other queers (is it ok as a noun)? What was their reaction? I’m happy using any term at all, but I wouldn’t want to risk a first impression by using queer if it may be misunderstood.
Yes. My position stems from personal beliefs and I don’t bother trying to convince others because it is a very personal decision and I accept that. There are two reasons I don’t want kids: first, the responsibility, second, there are so many children who already are alive and need homes. Personally, I would feel selfish to procreate when I could share my love with an adopted child just the same. There are other arguments that can be made against procreation but the most important is that there are already wonderful children among us today who deserve homes and families.
This is one thing I love about our Lemmy - we know that we aren’t wasting our time giving thoughtful answers because we are all comrades. On reddit, it felt like most of the time the FAQ about communism or AES were in bad faith and the person wouldn’t listen, or even if they did, the masses would downvote your answer anyways. I find a lot of great detailed answers on here, and I appreciate you folks
