Conspiracy theorists don’t want you to know this one simple trick
I came across a guy while walking in a park who began preaching to a friend and me about edible plants. It was real obvious he had no idea what he was talking about but was a socially awkward, lonely person desperately needing attention. I’m the friendliest person you will ever meet but felt an overwhelming desire to punch this man.
The Nazi skinheads co-opted skinhead. After the Geraldo Rivera episode everyone I knew let their hair grow out because they didn’t want to be associated with that shit. Before that there were only a few isolated scenes where you’d see Nazi skinheads. Cutting off your hair was popular in the hardcore punk scenes because it was contrary to the long feathered hair popular in the 70’s and 80’s plus it was a lot easier than trying to get a Mohawk to stand up straight. That took a whole can of hairspray and we were all broke.
Good suggestions. I tried to look up who hosted Romper Room but apparently it was a franchise and had a different host in each location
They should have to post the Ten Commandments in that church
We need to hold people like these in high regard as a society not the constant rotation of pop stars. Funny thing is I can’t think of any women that belong on this though most of my teachers were women and they had a profound effect on my life. Dr Ruth Westheimer maybe?
Doesn’t salt act as a preservative for food? There are only a couple things I’ll add salt to. Now if we just started eating fresh food and less processed food no doubt we’d be better off. Hell we’d probably offset carbon emissions by eating locally sourced food and not having it delivered to us more than we would by banning fireworks
Is the article listed in the “Opinion” section? Opinion is not news. Some sections are titled “Analysis” or “Political Analysis” these should be viewed as opinion. Train yourself to recognize an opinion article by reading the headline before you even click on it. Also look to see if there is a dateline at the beginning of the article. This will tell you where the news is being reported from and the source. Some will tuck it at the end where you’re less likely to see it (ahem, Fox News). Some will state in the article who is the source. These sites that are 90% political news will often have reporters in Washington DC and nowhere else. Personally I avoid reading articles who’s headline is a question or state what “could” happen. Know that we all are prone to bias. In my lifetime we’ve gone from literally a handful of news sources to a thousand each catering to a group telling them what they want to hear. Don’t be afraid to read stuff that goes against your beliefs, it will better prepare you for debating. Last and not least, for Jesus Fucking Christ don’t base your opinion on memes!
I think we’re all just chasing our tails sometimes
I should add that this was an American thing incase it isn’t obvious
It was a trend for a short while in the suburbs. Keep a concrete goose in your front yard and dress it up accordingly to the holiday or season. Early 2000’s I think?
Get a kiddie pool, fill it, soak your feet in it
Early Gen X. Just gotta say, the term.baby boomer was tossed around when I was younger but I never heard the term generation X until the 90’s, maybe late 90’s.
It’s the Denver Guardian from 2026 all over again
My renting experiences were actually mostly positive. It’s the last renter I had that made me throw in the towel. My full time job takes me to a lot of high rise apartment buildings and I see what they go through. Most tenants are decent people but the few bad ones and their friends mess it up for everybody. I’m seeing very slimy property management companies from out of state buy buildings here because it’s relatively cheap. Crooked HVAC companies are just as bad. I wouldn’t want to live in most of the places I visit
This has to be AI it’s so stupid
Nah that stuffs water soluble, won’t stand up in the pit
