Legal, no clue, but if they’re that hard up I can’t imagine they’d fire him. I’ve quit over a similar situation before, not my wedding though. No regrets, would say compromising his wedding/honeymoon in any way is a terrible way to start his marriage. Seek a legal counsel and killer them know in no uncertain terms he will not be available during that time as he has a higher commitment to his spouse.
Does it really count if you’re renting though? who can afford to “own” a lawn anymore?
