Jetzt wo Selbstbestimmungsgesetz, Cannabislegalisierung und Heizungsgesetz mehr schlecht als Recht durch sind, erwarte ich von der FDP auch nicht mehr viel.
Ich frage mich nur noch ob das nächste CSU-Verkehrsministerium marginal besser als das jetzige FDP-Verkehrsministerium sein wird.
Keine Partei ist in der Lage sich mit der Springerpresse und Co. inhaltlich durchzusetzen, also macht mir die anstehende, affektbasierte¹ BTW Sorgen.

OK. Iran now says that’s not enough - Israel is to be destroyed. “Equal and just peace” needs mutual de facto recognition.

How does justice coming to Israel look like?
Israel has more than just US interests on their mind. Proxy wars aren’t neutral battlefields.
Iran’s allies unites the nonrecognition of a) the Israeli people and b) the state Israel. The Israeli electorate and thus by extension the IDF doesn’t trust its neighbours (Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iran) to recognise Israel (a, b) anytime soon, which translates to them as ‘peace was never an option’. Occupation didn’t work, because internationalised guerrilla warfare muddies the waters of combatant status.
The binary nonrecognition is thus a recipe for wars to come, because the Israelis are highly motivated by what they see as an existential threat. Gaza has the same problem, but the 7. October translates to the Israelis as mutual agreement of almost anything is allowed now.
Chaos days/week
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes, Iran. If Iran recognised Israel, diplomacy might be actually feasible.
6·3 days agoThe Stellantis-VW coalition poses such an onslaught on the already weak climate goals of the transportation sector in Europe. Protest fatigue is my only explanation as to why this isn’t taken to the streets or picket lines, but that’s not a reliable position to stand on.
