My experience is largely similar. The thing is I don’t like tinkering with my system much but my home desktop is still running Linux mint that I installed 2 years ago flawlessly.
I don’t run windows anywhere because Linux just works and I don’t need to go configure a bunch of things because the defaults are quite sensible.
